  • Irong Irong Dance Company

    University-Based Organization

A spark of movement grew into a legacy of culture.

A call to dance, to preserve, and to create a home where student artists could rise, unite, and honor tradition.

Born from passion and a deep respect for heritage, the Irong-Irong Dance Company (IIDC)
emerged—not just as a troupe, but as a family bound by artistry, discipline, and cultural pride.

Guided by its esteemed adviser, Prof. Liberty R. Porras, IIDC carries the mission and vision of West Visayas State University through powerful performances that celebrate the rhythms, stories, and roots of the Filipino people.

Beyond the stage, we cultivate unity, identity, and excellence—keeping the spirit of our heritage alive in every beat, step, and turn.
