    What is Chroma?

    The term "CHROMA" refers to color and the purity, intensity, or saturation of a color. This metaphor reflects the diverse traits that make up each individual in the BSEMC Program.

     

    CHROMA aims to be the academic organization for WVSU-BSEMC students. It acknowledges the variety of students and fosters a collaborative environment. By guiding each student to their preferred environment, CHROMA aims to create a collective masterpiece.

    Mission

    To become an academic organization that initiates an opportunity for self-development under the disciplines aligned with the BSEMC Curriculum.

     

    We aim to create the opportunity for students to be competent in maximizing our potential through an environment of development and create a foundation for a new generation of creative professionals.

     

    Vision

    To cultivate a dynamic creative community of EMC Students that embodies excellence in the disciplines associated with or under the Bachelor of Science in Entertainment & Multimedia Computíng Program.

     

    CHROMA is dedicated to fostering creativity, inclusivity, and diversity providing students the opportunity to excel in their chosen disciplines to embark on a journey of self development.

     

    CHROMA aims to inspire the next generation of creative leaders through a harmonious blend of creativity, innovation, and collaboration.

     

    Goal

    CHROMA aims to develop a community under the BSEMC Program that partakes in collaboration, innovation, and creativity that are set to be a foundation for the students to become competent upon the program's completion.

     

    As an academic organization, it is CHROMA's duty to create essential opportunities for the development of EMC students and to nurture the talents required for success in the creative industry.

    Branding

    The Logo was designed by John Kevin Langurayan (EMC Batch 2026) and with the help of Sir Ruel Jr. D. Benliro. This design of the CHROMA logo focuses on collaboration of the different committees (or disciplines) that are embedded or can be associated with the BSEMC Program.

     

    Committees

    Committees could be clearly understood as specialization environments. Currently, there are, 9 specialization committees that composes CHROMA:

    Events & Accomplishments

     

    1. Official Event Partner for Innovators' Alley at the Odyssey: Dinagyang Festival 2025 (JANUARY 2025)

    CHROMA became an official event partner for Innovators’ Alley at The Odyssey: Dinagyang Festival 2025, held on January 24–25, 2025, at Robinsons Mall Jaro, Iloilo. Hosted by Astral Visions, Innovators’ Alley is a featured program within The Odyssey, a weekend-long festival that celebrates gaming culture alongside related industries such as esports, pop culture, cosplay, anime, technology, and the creator community.

     

    With the theme “Redefining Technology, Agriculture, and Gastronomy for Visionary Leaders,” Innovators’ Alley aimed to highlight innovation and culture through public booth displays, promotional materials, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities. As an event partner, CHROMA contributed to this dynamic platform that fused emerging technologies and creative industries with the rich cultural energy of the Dinagyang Festival.

     

     

     

    2. Korean Exchange Students Immersion Program from Jeju National
    University (FEBRUARY 2024)

    CHROMA participated as representative and facilitator to share the knowledge on creating a Logo for the project of the Jeju National University (JNU) Delegates during their stay here in Iloilo for their immersion program at WVSU in collaboration with CICT, WVSU BINHI and Cyb Org from January 19 to February 15.

     

     

     

    3. EMC Art Exhibit (DECEMBER 2023)

    CHROMA in collaboration with the students of Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (BSEMC) under the College  of Information Communication Technology (CICT), held an Art Exhibit located inside the Administration Building from December 4 to 15, 2023.

     

    Continuation of showcasing the Art works, Creations and Project by the EMC students to the other students and faculty of West Visayas State University.

     

     

     

    4. Participation in Game-On Event by Tech For All (NOVEMBER 2023)

    The members of CHROMA participated at the highly anticipated Game-On Event by Tech For All on November 12, 2023 held at SM City Iloilo.

     

    CHROMA grabbed the opportunity to join the Imagination Emporium Art Exhibit showcasing the artworks and projects of the students of Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (BSEMC) under the College of Information Communication Technology (CICT). As well as, participated at the Cosplay Fiesta to showcase the creations worn on stage using arts and crafts.

     

     

     

    5. Green Day Event (OCTOBER 2023)

    CHROMA was invited along with the BSEMC First Year Students, Cathleen Kaye Orio, Wendi Deocares, Janine Megumi Cabangal, Hebroy Pacaco, Alexean John Palonpon, Eugene Bignayan, and John Christian Ledesma along with the CICT Event Facilitator Muriel Jeanne Carnaje joined the Environmentalista where colleges compete for a beatification contest in each college building area.

     

    The assigned project given to the organization was to clean the Gazebo found at the WVSU Mini-Forest.
