    WVSU Green Day 2024

Green Day 2024, with the theme "Youths, the Modern Maria Makiling of Today" reflects the crucial role the youths play in protecting and forwarding initiatives for the environment.

Maria Makiling is a deity responsible for protecting the Mount Makiling, it is believed that those who abuse the blessings brought by nature to the people shall face her punishments, on the other hand those who responsibly take from natural resources and protect the environment are blessed by her.

This university wide event not only raises the environmental awareness of the student, but also their sense of responsibility, as well as protecting the environment through advocacies, by utilizing photographs and videos that can help the youth in celebrating Mother Earth in its abundance.
